The X-treme XB-700Li is one of the first electric bikes to utilize Lithium Ion Batteries, making it quick, and giving the XB-700Li long range capabilities. Lithium Ion Batteries are super efficient compared to traditional SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries, and they weigh half as much, last twice as long, and charge in half the time. The XB-700Li is equipped with a 700 watt hub motor powered by 26 lightweight Lithium LiMn04 Ion Batteries, which makes the XB-700Li a great long distance commuter.

Bicycles are getting more and more dependable and their ranges are being increased by the use of Lithium Ion Batteries, coupled together with a 300 watt brushless hub Electric Motor. I found it very amusing that my neighborhood kids were cocky enough to challenge me to a cross town race in my car....against their new bicycles. I laughed..HARD! at these little 14 year olds. The funniest thing is that they were totally serious, so I let my other head do the thinking for a bit, and took them up on their challenge/bet. The stakes were; I cough up $20 if I loose and they mow my lawn, and wash my car if they loose..
